Сборник Трудов ГОИН`а №220 содержит доклады, прочитанные на Шестой Всероссийской конференции по прикладной океанографии, состоявшейся в ГОИН`е в октябре 2018 г.
Эта конференция, ставшая уже традиционной для российской океанографической общественности, подвела некоторые промежуточные итоги работы ГОИН`а, а также заслушала интересные научные результаты, полученные в других институтах морского профиля. К этим результатам относятся как работы опытных заслуженных специалистов, широко известных как в нашей стране, так и за рубежом, и работы молодых ученых, только начинающих свой путь в большой науке.
В частности, в Cборник включена статья члена-корреспондента РАН Коротаева Г.К., в которой подводятся итоги развития физической океанографии не только в нашей стране, но и за рубежом. Автор убедительно показал, что за прошедшие годы океанография прошла большой путь от чисто описательной науки, до глубокой теоретической и практической дисциплины, одной из важнейших среди всех наук о Земле, опирающейся на точные физические закономерности, хорошо описываемые современными математическими моделями. Особый блок в Сборнике составляют работы, посвященные современным климатическим изменениям. Прежде всего, следует выделить статью В.И. Бышева, В.Г.Неймана и других, связанную с особенностями динамики современного климата. В этой статье подчеркнута роль Мирового океана в современных климатических изменениях. В других работах, составляющих этот раздел Сборника, приводятся последствия современного глобального потепления. В частности, в статье Юлина А.В., Тимофеевой А.Б. и других исследована меж годовая и сезонная изменчивость ледовитости российских арктических морей. Исследования авторов статьи убедительно показали, что ледовитость арктических морей в последние десятилетия неуклонно сокращается. Это имеет большое практическое значение для обеспечения работы флота на трассе Северного морского пути.
В статьях Дымент Л.Н., Лосева С.М. и Вражкина А.Н., Кабатченко И.М. и других рассмотрены проблемы, связанные с динамикой ледяного покрова в Арктическом бассейне и прогнозом ветрового волнения с учетом ледовых условий. Эти работы имеют четкую практическую направленность и полностью соответствуют тематике конференции – прикладная океанография.
Большой интерес представляет статья известного специалиста в области гидродинамики и механики сплошных сред проф. Чашечкина Ю.Д., посвященная проблеме сравнения результатов теоретических, лабораторных и натурных исследований процессов в океане. В связи с глобальным потеплением резко возросли риски, связанные с повышением уровня Мирового океана. Этой проблеме посвящена статья Холопцева А.В. и других, в которой на основе длительного ряда натурных наблюдений разработана технология оценки опасности от повышения уровня и возможных наводнений. Такая методика позволяет заблаговременно принять защитные меры и предотвратить неблагоприятные последствия.
Вопросы изменения уровня Каспийского моря рассмотрены в статьях Борисова Е.В. (и других) и Выручалкиной Т.Ю. (и других). Теоретическим вопросам изучения экстремальных значений колебаний уровня моря посвящена статья Жукова Ю.Н. и, наконец, блок статей, связанных с уровнем моря, заканчивается статьей Филиппова Ю.Г., в которой приводится разработанный автором физико-статистический метод прогноза опасных подъемов уровня в порту Таганрог.
Общим проблемам исследования морей и океанов посвящены статьи, в которых содержатся результаты исследования меридионального переноса вод в низких широтах Атлантического океана и описывающие результаты модельных расчетов циркуляции в ограниченном водном объекте.
Сборник завершается статьями, посвященными оценке состояния морской окружающей среды Черного и Каспийского морей и разработке и практическому использованию коротковолновой радиолокационной аппаратуры для оценки состояния прибрежных акваторий.
Выпуск Трудов ГОИН`а №220 представляет интерес для специалистов, работающих в области морской гидрометеорологии, студентов и аспирантов гидрометеорологического профиля и смежных дисциплин.
This issue of the SOI`s Proceedings includes articles prepared on the basis of reports presented at the VI All-Russian Conference on Applied Oceanography, held in SOI in October 2018. This conference, which has already become traditional for the Russian oceanographic community, has summed up some of the interim results of investigations as well as interesting scientific results obtained at some other marine institutes. These results include both the work of experienced specialists, widely known both in our country and abroad, and the work of young scientists who are just starting their way into science.
In particular, the collection includes an article by Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Korotayev GK, which summarizes the global development of physical oceanography. The author has convincingly shown that over the past years, oceanography has gone a long way from purely descriptive science to deep theoretical and practical discipline, one of the most important of all the earth sciences, based on precise physical patterns well described by modern mathematical models. A special block in the Collection consists of works devoted to modern climate change. First of all, we should mention the article V.I. Byshev, V.G. Neyman and others, associated with the peculiarities of the dynamics of the current climate. This article emphasizes the role of the oceans in modern climate change. Other papers that make up this section of the Conference present the effects of modern global warming. In particular, in the article by Yulin A.V., Timofeeva A.B. and others, the inter-annual and seasonal variability of the ice cover of the Russian Arctic seas was studied. Reports presented by the authors have convincingly shown that the ice cover of the Arctic seas has been steadily declining in recent decades. This is of great practical importance for the operation of the fleet over the Northern Sea Route.
In the articles Dyment L.N., Losev S.M. and Vrazhkina A.N., Kabatchenko I.M.
and others addressed the problems associated with the dynamics of ice cover in the Arctic Basin and the forecasting of wind waves, taking into account ice conditions. These works have a clear practical orientation and are fully consistent with the subject of the conference – applied oceanography.
Of great interest is the article by a famous specialist in the field of hydrodynamics and continuum mechanics prof. Yu.D.Chashechkin dedicated to the problem of comparing the results of theoretical, laboratory and field studies of processes in the ocean. Due to global warming, the risks associated with rising sea level have increased dramatically. The report by Kholoptsev A.V. and others devoted to this issue and based on a long series of field observations includes technology developed to assess the risk of rising levels and possible flooding. This technique allows to take protective measures in advance and prevent adverse consequences.
Issues on changing the level of the Caspian Sea are considered in the articles by E.V. Borisov and others and Vyruchalkina T.Yu. and others. The article by Zhukov Yu.N. is devoted to theoretical aspects of studying extreme values of sea level fluctuations. And, finally, a block of articles related to sea level problems ends with the article by FG Y. Filippov, which contains a physico-statistical method developed by the author for predicting dangerous level rises in the port of Taganrog.
The general problems of studying the seas and oceans concern articles that contain the results of a study of the meridional water transport in the low latitudes of the Atlantic Ocean and describe the results of model calculations of circulation in a limited water object.
The collection ends with articles on assessing the state of the marine environment of the Black and Caspian Seas and the development and practical use of short-wave radar equipment for assessing the state of coastal waters.
The issue of the SOI`s Proceedings No. 220 is of interest to specialists working in the field of marine hydrometeorology, undergraduate and postgraduate students of hydrometeorological profile and related disciplines.
